Le collectif d’art japonais teamLab formé par Toshiyuki Inoko en 2001 à Tokyo, vient de dévoiler une nouvelle exposition immersive intitulée « Walk, Walk, Walk Home ». Celle-ci est présentée jusqu’au 27 juin dans le lieu tokyoïte Ginza 456 (Created by KDDI).
Le projet met cette fois-ci à l’honneur le public à qui il est demandé de dessiner des personnages aux crayons de couleur sur papier.
Les œuvres d’art ainsi réalisées sont ensuite réutilisées par le collectif qui les affiche numériquement en les animant… et c’est là que la magie opère : des simples formes sur papier, les personnages prennent alors vie sur écran pour parader dans une forêt japonaise.
Comme à leur habitute, les designers de teamLab misent sur une exposition interactive mais qui va ici plus loin qu’une diffusion locale et limitée dans le temps.
En effet, le collectif a eu l’excellente idée de diffuser en live sur YouTube la parade afin de permettre au monde entier de suivre en direct la marche des personnages en musique…au-delà des frontières et des barrières imposées par le covid-19.
Une marche virtuelle infinie qui durera jusqu’à ce que la pandémie prenne fin, une marche pleine d’espoir pour tous les êtres du monde entier unis ici par un mot : la créativité.
